We are also seeking volunteers for upcoming activity sessions this year. We intend to do a mixture of litter picking and woodland management sessions. These will include seasonally appropriate activities like scrub clearing before the birds nest, and grass cutting in September, with some fun and informative sessions too.

Times: 10.30-12.30

Dates for 2017:
Sunday 26th Feb – Litter pick/scrub bash
Saturday 25th March – litter pick
Sunday 23rd April – litter pick
Sunday June 25th – Plant ID walk
Sunday 3rd September – Litter pick/grass cutting/scrub bashing
Sunday October 1st – scrub bashing
Saturday November 4th - wildflower planting
Saturday November 18th – scrub bashing
Saturday December 9th – scrub bashing


Meet: top of the steps on Moorlands Road.
 
We’re also keen to hear any stories, or local history, that older community residents may have about the Coombe Brook Valley.

Sunday 25th June. 10.30 am—12, Plant ID walk— come to learn and share knowledge!  Led by Becky Belfin.

Sunday 30th July.  12-3 pm. Connect to Nature Event, led by the RSPB.  This session is especially aimed at families and is open to all. Part of the RSPB’s Wild Parks project:

Next Gossie clear up day: Sunday 10th April 2016, 10.30 am onwards.  
We had such a great tidy up last time, but there's still work to do, so please join us even if only for half an hour! Meet at top of steps on Moorlands Road. Gloves and bags will be provided, but bring your own gardening gloves if you have them.  Bring a flask of tea etc, and join us for a cuppa afterwards!


Bramble Bashing Session!! 
Sunday 20th March 2016, 10.30 am onwards.

Meet at Holly Lodge Road entrance, plan is to do some grassland conservation at the top of the site. Bring gardening gloves if you have them.
