A fantastic group of Bristol folk met on Saturday 13th February to do some long overdue woodland management on the site. A great day was had by all! It was astounding just how quickly a small group of people can start to make a real difference, and just how quickly the time went too! We worked under the supervision of Rosie Maple from the Avon Wildlife Trust. We cleared an overgrown path, cut back some of the prolific holly and coppiced some of the hazel growing on one side of the stream. The overall aim of this work is to increase the diversity of plant life by allowing more light through to the woodland floor.
